A steady climb this morning to Outlandia was made so much easier by the lack of rain & wind. Snow still on the ground above 250 meters means its still quite cold. But there is a beautiful stillness which is peaceful but it does not challenge in the same way as the extreme elements. The sun in the late afternoon brought the colours alive yet again.
This drawing (slightly out of focus) of the sheep fold across the Glen has been fascinating me and I think I may go over and do some drawing / painting there later in the week. It is so clear from this vantage point to see even the subtle marks that man has made on this environment.

I decided to do some lino printing today, a great way of keeping warm too. Using water based printing ink and watercolour as ink it was really exciting to see the results. I enjoy the anticipation each time a print is taken and although my photos are less than perfect !, I was pleased with the results.

There was lots of activity round Outlandia today loads of mountain bikers braving the almost vertical slopes through the trees and a local man out walking came to have a look, all these were good excuses for welcome break & a cup of steaming coffee.
